The Opportunity
A northeast Houston acute care hospital is hiring two permanent Nurse Managers for its Emergency Department. This is a full leadership role — 29 beds, direct oversight of 30 to 40 FTEs, and an active institutional push toward Level 1 Trauma designation. The department is mid-expansion right now, which means you step into something being built, not maintained. Scheduling is flexible across day and evening shifts, Monday through Friday.
Leadership infrastructure is already in place: two managers, one director, and six CNCs. You will report to the VP of the Emergency Department. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical coverage with many services at no cost or low copay, dental and vision options, behavioral health coverage, free telemedicine, a 401(k) with 100% match on 3 to 9 percent of pay based on years of service, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, education assistance including tuition and student loan support, paid time off, paid family leave, and an Employee Health Assistance Fund. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates must hold an active RN license and a BSN. A minimum of two years of recent acute care ER leadership experience is required; charge nurse experience in the ED will be considered. BLS is required at hire. ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start. Additional certifications — ENPC, PALS, TNCC, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention — are required within 60 to 180 days of start depending on the credential. Prior experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Emergency Department is strongly preferred.
If you are an ER leader ready to step into an expanding department with a clear institutional trajectory, this is the opportunity. Apply now or book a confidential call to get the details.

The Package
Why Kingwood?
Kingwood, Texas sits on the northeastern edge of the Houston metro, roughly 25 miles from downtown, inside one of the most appealing suburban communities in the region. The nickname here is "The Livable Forest," and it is earned — more than 75 miles of trails wind through mature pine and hardwood, connecting neighborhoods, parks, and the banks of Lake Houston. The climate stays mild through most of the year, and outdoor life here is genuinely integrated into daily routines. Whether that means paddling, cycling, hiking, or simply living among old-growth canopy, the surroundings set this community apart from anything else in the metro.
Families come here and tend to stay. Schools in the Humble Independent School District are well regarded, the community is tightly knit, and the cost of living runs considerably below comparable markets on either coast. Texas carries no state income tax, which makes a real difference in take-home pay. Houston itself — one of the most economically resilient and culturally diverse cities in the country — sits just a short drive south, offering world-class dining, professional sports, arts, and the largest medical campus on earth. Kingwood gives you suburban pace and genuine urban access at the same time, a balance that most cities cannot pull off.
