The Opportunity
This is a director-level opportunity to lead emergency services at one of Arizona's most active Level I Trauma Centers. Serving more than 77,000 patients annually across a 40-bed emergency department and a 14-bed freestanding ED in the West Valley, this role carries real operational weight and meaningful clinical reach. You will partner directly with executive and physician leadership on quality improvement, team culture, staff development, and the kind of strategic growth work that is genuinely hard to find packaged cleanly into a single director position.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Goodyear, Arizona. You will hold full accountability across both ED locations — including budget management, workforce oversight, regulatory compliance, and patient experience outcomes. Volumes are growing, and the department is positioned for continued expansion.
A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Relocation assistance is negotiable for the right fit. The position includes a full benefits package and the institutional support of a Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Pediatric Preparedness-accredited facility operating in one of the fastest-growing communities in the country.
Candidates must hold a current Registered Nurse license and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or a bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting is required, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity. Emergency or acute care background is expected. An MSN is preferred. Strong financial acumen, comfort with workforce management systems, and the ability to move the needle on physician relations, patient satisfaction, and operational performance are all part of the profile.
If you are a proven emergency services leader ready to step into a high-visibility role with real institutional backing and room to shape what comes next, apply now or reach out to schedule a confidential conversation.

The Package
Why Goodyear?
Goodyear sits in the West Valley of metropolitan Phoenix and has quietly become one of the most sought-after communities in Arizona. The city draws families and professionals alike with wide open spaces, access to the White Tank and Estrella mountain ranges, and a trail network that stretches for miles into the desert. Year-round sunshine — well over 300 days annually — means outdoor life is not a seasonal perk here, it is the standard. Residents enjoy proximity to spring training baseball, championship golf, and a restaurant and retail scene that has grown substantially over the past decade. Schools in the area are consistently well-regarded, and the newer master-planned neighborhoods give relocating professionals an easy entry point into a community that already feels established.
What surprises most newcomers is how connected Goodyear is to the rest of the region. Downtown Phoenix is roughly 20 to 25 minutes east, putting world-class dining, professional sports, arts venues, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport well within reach. For those who want a slower pace on weekends, Sedona, Prescott, and the pines of Flagstaff are all a few hours north. The cost of living remains competitive relative to comparable Sun Belt metros, and the pace of growth — new housing, new infrastructure, new employers — signals a city still in the early chapters of something long-term. For clinicians who want a place where career momentum and quality of life move in the same direction, the West Valley is worth a serious look.
