Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program, Masters in Nursing or related field.

Preferred: Masters in Nursing or Related Field

Experience:

Minimum: 3-4 years’ experience as an RN in an Emergency Department.

At least one year of experience as Nurse Manager

Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum: Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Minimum: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.  Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire. CPI certification within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within 18 months of hire.

Preferred: Certified Emergency Nursing within one year.

Special Skills:

Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations.

Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.

Personal computer skills required.

Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
