What They Need
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive management experience, specifically within an Emergency Department setting.
Leadership Depth: Proven track record in budget preparation, staff supervision, physician relationship management, and multi-disciplinary team coordination.
Licensure: Valid Texas RN License or Compact License; current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Certifications: TNCC required within 18 months; ENPC or CEN required within 18 months.
Skill Set: The ability to resolve complex operational issues with a high degree of accuracy under strict time limitations.
