Nurse Manager Emergency Services FSED Mt Dora - Dayshift, M-F, 8-5p, with call, responsible for 24/7 operations

Sanford , FL

JO# 983235

Lead emergency care in a setting where your clinical expertise and leadership truly matter. This is an opportunity to step into a nurse manager role with real autonomy, meaningful impact, and the chance to shape emergency services in a close-knit, low-volume environment—without the constant chaos of a high-throughput ED.

What the employer offers
This role provides a stable weekday schedule with dayshift hours and leadership responsibility for 24/7 operations, allowing you to balance strategic oversight with hands-on influence. You’ll lead a dedicated team in a freestanding emergency department designed for efficient, patient-centered care, featuring private rooms, advanced imaging, and streamlined workflows. The organization supports professional growth through education assistance, leadership development, and long-term career pathways. Comprehensive benefits cover health, retirement, paid time off, family support programs, and wellbeing resources, with relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis. You’ll also benefit from a culture that values accountability, transparency, and evidence-based practice.

What they need
They are seeking a registered nurse or advanced practice registered nurse with at least one year of recent acute care emergency leadership experience, such as charge nurse, coordinator, or supervisor. A strong clinical emergency background, comfort with independent decision-making, and the ability to lead a small team in a rural, low-volume setting are essential. Required credentials include an RN license, BLS within 30 days, and ACLS and PALS (or equivalents) within six months. This role oversees an 11-bed freestanding emergency department with low daily volume, 1:4 ratios, and responsibility for staffing, quality outcomes, patient experience, budgeting, and team development.

If you’re ready to lead emergency services with purpose, influence patient care at a higher level, and build a team you’re proud of, let’s start the conversation.
