This position oversees a high-volume Level II Trauma Emergency Department, multiple freestanding emergency departments, and an additional site scheduled to open this year. You’ll collaborate directly with executive leadership, including a Chief Nursing Officer with an emergency services background, while influencing strategy, service line growth, staffing models, and patient experience initiatives. What they need
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of current or recent acute care Emergency Department Director experience within a Level I or Level II Trauma setting. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. This leader must demonstrate strong operational command of patient throughput, staffing, budgeting, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance. Experience overseeing multiple departments, leading high-acuity emergency services (including stroke and STEMI), and developing teams with a mix of seasoned clinicians and new graduates is essential. Proven success improving engagement, reducing turnover, and driving measurable performance outcomes should be clearly reflected on the resume.
